"First you define your terms; then, you coax, cajole and cross your fingers. Any Way you cut it, though, possession is still nine-tenths of the law."
I have no one to tag. Oh well.

Here we are in 2008! I haven't been very faithful in keeping up with this blog, but thought I might give it another go.
We had a very nice holiday season. Mom and Marty came for a two week stay. This was Marty's first time flying commercial which was a big undertaking for him. All went well except the steps were too much for mom. Even with a wheel chair assist on the way home they still had to climb the steps up to the plane. Might be their last commercial flight. This will probably be their last Christmas trip also. Right now they are planning on hybernating from Thanksgiving-Easter. We'll see.
We hope to drive out to Kansas a couple of times this year, maybe even another trip to Wisconsin. Our first grandbaby is due in March, so we will see how the travel plans go.
Working on another baby blanket. Keeping my knitting muscles limber. We go back to work tomorrow, so being as lazy as possible today!
Happy New Year!!

We had a great time on vacation! Here are a few of the things that we enjoyed. In Fort Lauderdale we stayed at Vacation at Bonaventure Resort. We took a ride on the Jungle Queen to see the beautiful canals. I was fascinated by The Furniture at some of the restaurants on the Riverwalk, so I looked it up on the Internet. After seeing the prices I think we'll pass. Cool though. We dined at the 15th Street Fisheries after our tour. Very nice view. Very nice "early bird" prices!
What better time to see "Finding Nemo" then at the beach? This also gave us a wonderful opportunity to shop at the Sawgrass Mills Mall. While we were there we ate The Cheesecake Factory. They have wonderful food! (The website is cool too)
We left Florida to meet up with our daughters in the Smoky Mountains at the Sky Valley Resort. What an environmental contrast. We were in culture shock for the first two days. One of our favorite finds in Dillard, GA was The Leisure Store. By the time we left I think they were quite pleased with us too. I can't pass up a puzzle sale. We had a blast in Franklin, TN at The Factory. We putted 45 holes of putt-putt and by the end of day had bowled a total of 5 games each. Not to mention the girls got to be quite good at driving 18 wheelers. We drove over to Gatlinburg for lunch one day and enjoyed the glorious view to and fro. We drove highway 64 through Franklin to view several water falls. We also enjoyed a day in Helen, GA shopping and tubing.
